Welcome to Mary Queen of the World!
Happy Summer Holidays!!!!
We will be organizing a “Jumping June” fundraiser where our students will be involved in a movement day with a nature walk, Zumba classes and a few other surprises. We are trying to promote wellness and healthy active living among our students because it is such an important lesson for them all to learn and to make it a part of their daily routine.
We are asking the students of MQW to gather pledges to help our school gather a variety of literacy, numeracy and technology resources that will be used to promote our School Development goals that focus on student achievement. We are in the process of gathering resources for all types of learners but it is a very costly venture for us and that is why we need your support! We want to create an environment for each of our students to have the chance to be successful.
Attached is a pledge form that we would like to see our students fill out and the pledges will go towards their fun filled “Jumping June” Activities. For every $10 a student brings in they will receive a ticket for a chance to win some fabulous prizes.
WOW, isn’t this going to be exciting. Get those pledges in and have a chance to win these awesome prizes but more importantly, help MQW to be greater than it already is.
Grade 6 Leaving
Our Grade 6 School Leaving Ceremony is scheduled for Friday, June 16th at 10:30 am in the gymnasium. All grade 6 parents are invited to attend. Just a note to clarify, this is a school leaving ceremony, not a graduation event. Dress code is casual.
Final School June Assembly
Parents are reminded that our final school assembly for the 2016 – 2017 school year is scheduled for Thursday, June 22nd at 9:15pm. We look forward to seeing you there!!!
